The concept of relationship is profoundly connected to the meaning of design itself and this is particularly true in the case of the design of Chairs, where no other furniture can offer as many possibilities for creating and facilitating such deep connections. This is perhaps the reason why many designers have often dedicated, even several years of their careers, to create sits, favouring this kind of furniture compared to any other. Except for the car, there is no handcrafted and industrial product, which has been studied, celebrated and subjected to the most varied creative elements as the Chair.
“Sedute nell’Ombra” is an installation that retraces the history of design to give back light to the chair, allowing the visitor to perceive it without the filter of everyday life. Through a language that transcends the fleetingness of an instant, where the presence of things manifests itself through the projection of the shadow, we wanted to emphasize, how the “good design” of these objects has provided elements of innovation, relationship and inspiration for centuries and they will continue to do in the future.
