A new space arrangement was emphasized ever since the first sketches, to enhance sizes and light, creating a balanced transition between the kitchen and the living area.

The renovated area, appeared once as an obsolete space, ether from a functional and structural point of view.

The entrance was embellished adding a new ceiling lighting system and moving the wide wooden gate frontally, which was varnished of the same colour of the walls, as a connecting element to the living room.

The hue of the wall in front of the entrance is the real glue of the scene: the main furniture, the windows openings, and all the different accessories interact in harmony with each other, creating a balanced and elegant space.

The kitchen was designed to be extremely functional but also refined and contemporary, thanks to the decorations that were inlaid. Nonetheless, the dwelling’s initial old atmosphere was not forgotten, and it is brought back by the peculiar 60’s style seats, renewed in their colour and lining.

The wall lighting and the warm shades accompany the fireplace corner, gracefully inserted in the living area, where the rocking armchair’s nuances contrast the wooden finishing on the near wall and complete the relax area.

Although the surface is just 45 mq, many were the companies that contributed to the final result: from Doimo Cucine to Kerakoll Design House for the finishings, Mutina for the kitchen decorations, Fabbian for the lighting and Moroso for the relax area furniture.

In Italian we say “Per grandi problemi ci vogliono grandi soluzioni” (big solutions are needed for big problems), but this is the evidence that quality and details really make a different in any environment.
