A striking opening redefines the spaces of an apartment in a 1970s building, just a few kilometers from the historic center of Brescia. A play of light and shadow animates the interiors, which have been completely transformed through a new spatial distribution.

All the existing partitions were demolished and rebuilt using a dry construction system in plasterboard, allowing for a complete remodeling of the layout: the apartment, originally a five-room unit, has been converted into a four-room one. The living area expands into a spacious open space, punctuated by arched passageways, ceiling recesses, and color blocks that define its different functions. Deep bluish-gray tones highlight the volumes of the entrance and dining area, creating a dramatic and enveloping effect.

Originally, each room had a different type of flooring, resulting in a fragmented perception of the space. Now, large gray porcelain stoneware slabs unify the surfaces, enhancing natural light. The furnishings, both essential and contemporary, stand out for their clean lines and carefully curated color palette, while still leaving room for thoughtfully placed decorative elements.

From a functional perspective, custom solutions such as built-in wardrobes, concealed sliding doors, and strategic interlocking elements between service areas optimize the space. In the sleeping area, a central axis aligns the laundry and wardrobes, which are seamlessly integrated into custom recesses. The main bathroom has been divided into two, with an interplay of volumes ensuring an exclusive en-suite for the master bedroom.

The project achieves a perfect balance between aesthetics and functionality: spaces are masterfully defined through colors, volumes, and materials, creating a seamless visual and spatial harmony that offers a refined and welcoming living experience.
